Evening and weekend NHS GP appointments

Help and support from a GP

If you need to contact a GP, do not go into the surgery in person.

You can:

Your GP surgery will then give you advice about what to do.

A phone or video call with a GP, nurse or other healthcare professional may be booked for you.

You'll only be asked to visit the surgery if absolutely necessary.

Your GP surgery may be very busy at the moment and you may have to wait longer than usual to speak to someone if it's not urgent.

 

 

Extended Hours Service

365 Days of the Year 
Weekdays 18:30 – 20:00 
Weekends 08:00 – 20:00 

The aim of the Extended Hours service is to improve patient care and access in General Practice through seven day working, by increasing the number of appointments available beyond core hours. Staffed by fully trained and experienced GPs and Nurse's, these appointments offer a range of services for both children and adults.

Who can access these appointments?

All patients registered with Central London GP practices (Westminster area) can now book evening or weekend NHS GP/Nurse appointments (via your own practice, your existing SystmOnline account or NHS 111), at one of three local locations, The Connaught Square Practice, Pimlico Health @ the Marven and The Westbourne Green Surgery

How do I book an appointment? 

Contact your GP practice in the usual way to request an appointment, use your existing SystmOnline account. If your practice is closed and urgent care is required, please call NHS 111 - they can book also book you an appointment at the Extended Hours Service. If your need is life threatening, please go to A&E or call 999.

Central London's Extended Hours Hubs can be found at the below three locations.

*When booking with your General Practice, SystmOnline or via NHS 111, please mention one of the above locations you would like to visit. This is not a walk in service and you will need an appointment to be seen. 

*Please note that you will be asked to consent for your medical records to be viewed by the Hub GP in order to book an appointment
