Enhanced Cardiology Service
The Enhanced Cardiology Service triages all adult Cardiology non-urgent referrals into community and hospital services.
The community service offers Echocardiograms, 24/48 hour Holter Monitoring and 7 day Event Recording. There is also a direct link with the Heart Failure service which is provided by the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
CLH works in partnership with South Westminster PCH Ltd to manage and operate the contract. The service is currently available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Millbank Medical Centre. Your GP will refer you to this service if appropriate.

The Millbank Health centre is served by public transport, there are four underground stations near Millbank Medical Centre:
1) Westminster Station (0.7 miles)
2) Pimlico Station (0.5 miles)
3) Victoria Station (1 Mile)
4) Waterloo Station (1.2 Miles)
There are two buses which come near to Millbank Medical Centre:
1) 507 – can be picked up from Victoria Station
2) C10 – can be picked up at Victoria and Pimlico Stations
There are also some other low cost options and patients may also be able to use the following services:
Residents who live in Westminster and sign-up to be a member of Westway CT can access the Volunteer Cars service. This service is a one-to-one service supported by volunteers. Members can pre-book transport to go where they need to including the Enhanced Cardiology Hub at Millbank Medical Centre.
PLEASE NOTE: Volunteer Drivers support this scheme so bookings are not guaranteed until confirmation. Confirmation is normally provided at least 2 days before your appointment.
To join patients need to complete the Membership Form. All information is strictly confidential and will help Westway CT to provide a quality service to meet specific needs.
Membership is free but there is a mileage rate of £1.10 inclusive of VAT on all bookings. Westminster Council subsidises 75% of the transport costs in order to keep fares to an absolute minimum.
For example – a trip from Maida Vale to Millbank Medical Centre (4½ miles) will cost approximately £4.95.

The London Taxicard Scheme provides subsidised transport in taxis and private hire vehicles (mini-cabs) for people who have serious mobility or visual impairments and who find it very difficult or impossible to use mainstream public transport such as buses and tubes. Taxicard is for long term disabilities, lasting at least one year, not for short term problems such as broken legs etc.
If you believe you may qualify, please read the guidance notes carefully to assist you with the completion of the application form.
Taxicard allows users to take 72 trips per annum with £8.50 maximum subsidy per trip. The minimum fare is £2.50. Double swiping allowed. This allows Taxicard users to swipe their cards twice in a single trip and use two trip allocations to cover one long journey.

London Dial-a-Ride is a free, door-to-door transport service provided by Transport for London (TfL) for older and disabled Londoners who can’t always use public transport. It runs a shared bus service, which means you will often travel with other customers going to a variety of different places.
