What if I have any special needs?
Please tell your doctor if you have any special needs, for example: if you need an interpreter or if you need transport to get to your appointment. This information will then be included in the referral notes sent to the PRS by your doctor, and the PRS will then make the necessary arrangements.
What happens if I don’t hear from the PRS?
If the PRS team are unable to contact you, a provisional appointment which seems suitable will be booked on your behalf and a letter will be sent to you confirming the details. If this appointment does not suit you, then you should phone or e-mail the PRS to make alternative arrangements.
What do I do if I need to contact the PRS for advice?
If you have any questions or concerns about your referral or appointment, you should contact the Patient Referral Service to discuss (Contact Us).
Should you need medical advice because your condition or symptoms are getting worse, you should call your doctor's surgery or NHS Direct in the normal way. (NHS Direct)
What do I do if I have a complaint about the PRS?
If you are not happy with the service you have received, we would like to hear about your concerns. Please contact the PRS and ask to speak to the Complaints Officer, or see the PRS Patient Complaints Process to find out about other ways to make your complaint.
