What is the Patient Referral Service?
The Patient Referral Service (PRS) has been created in partnership with doctors and patients from the Westminster area.
The PRS is a new referral management and booking service that provides patients with a fast and efficient way to choose appointments for hospital and specialist clinic services.
Your doctor sends referral requests to the PRS electronically, including notes about your medical condition and history, and how best to contact you.
Doctors at the PRS carefully study the notes sent by your GP to identify the service options that meet your needs. Within four working days of your GP visit, a member of the team will contact you to discuss your choice of clinics and hospitals, and where and when you would like to have your appointment. (You can also contact the PRS yourself on the telephone number below but always allow four working days from your doctor's visit. )
The PRS doctors and call advisors work together to support patients by bringing together clinical expertise and up to date information about local health services and appointment waiting times.
The service is used by practices that belong to Central London Healthcare (Website) –a local GP commissioning group. All PRS doctors are drawn from CLH practices and undergo specialised training.
