The Central London Healthcare patient group is known as the “CLH User Panel” and was launched in June 2008. Our User Panel currently consists of 13 patient representatives from a number of CLH member GP practices
The aims of the CLH User Panel are:
• To be a voice for ALL patients in the development of CLH business specifications and setting priorities
• To influence service planning and delivery
• To provide ongoing monitoring of commissioned services
• To promote positive change in the interests of CLH service users
The CLH User panel meet 4 – 5 times a year and also have several sub-groups involved with specific issues relevant to the provision of healthcare in Westminster. The User Panel is actively involved in discussions regarding the current and future provision of healthcare services in the area.
Over the course of the last 18 months the User Panel has been actively involved in a wide number of activities including:
• Service planning and design for the Patient Referral System
• Discussions on patient communication regarding a polysystem
• Critical care facilities within Westminster
• Input into patient information and consultation leaflets
• Attendance at CLH Away Day alongside GPs, Practice Managers and healthcare professionals
• Membership of CLH Board and attendance at fortnightly meetings
