How We Are Doing

For Central London Healthcare to demonstrate its value, over time it will evaluate its affect on a number of important factors

  • improved access to services

  • improved quality of treatment

  • better value for money

  • more people seen in community-based services

  • fewer people inappropriately seen in hospital

  • better Choice for patients of where to have their treatment

  • better support for care at home

  • more effective health promotion and lifestyle support

CLH will measure its success against data showing where care has taken place and Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMS) – what patients say about the results of their treatment plans.

These and other measures will help CLH prove the value of its innovative local healthcare model to better meet the needs of patients and ensure that every pound spent on services has the maximum benefit for our patients.

How long will it take?

It will take us 5 years to full achieve this model, however you can expect to see significant changes and improvements by the end of 2010.

How frequently will we publish our results?

Each year we will tell you how well we did in achieving our objectives for the previous year and outline our plans for the year ahead.  To read our Commissioning Intentions for 2010/11 click here.
